なにかをしようと意識したとき、その方向に向かうための「意識」が起こります。ということは反対に、自分のなかで、意識されていない部分も生じるということです。つまり、自分のなかにはない、別の道、別の可能性が隠されているということです。
そして、その意識されていない部分を「無意識」というなら、それは「意識」よりもずっと深く、巨大なものであるはずです。さまざまな説がありますが、どれだけ大きく見積もっても「意識」は5%、あとは無意識95%といわれています。
ですから、自分が意識できている道はほんのわずかで、これがうまくいかないとしても、何の問題もないのです。もっと言えば、それ以上の可能性がまだまだある、というだけの話です。自分の思うように事が進まなくても「別の道があるかもしれない」と、もっと深いところを信頼してみると、なんでもうまくいっちゃうような気がしてきます。

陰陽五行による解説
「思い」を「現実」に向かわせていくことを、陰陽五行では「木剋土」の相剋ルートと表現しています。そのあいだに介入してくるのが「火」であり、今回の「無意識」はこの「火」のはたらきを示しています。
わたしが「意識」できるのは、方向性だけであって、それを「現実」に向かわせるのは、あくまでも「火」のはたらきです。ですから、実際に起こってくることと、わたしが「意識」していることは「木」と「土」くらい違うものであるということになります。それらはすべて「火」つまり「無意識」の導きによる、ということです。
